As the bridge connecting charging piles and vehicles, the performance of charging-pile cables is of paramount importance. In addition to basic outdoor cable properties such as insulation and flame retardancy, the overall rigidity of the cable is also critical.

As the bridge connecting charging stations and vehicles, the performance of charging-pile cables is of paramount importance. In addition to basic outdoor cable properties such as insulation and flame retardancy, the overall stiffness of the cable should not be too high, since it must withstand frequent bending. The term “charging-pile cable material” generally refers to elastomeric materials used for the insulation and jacket layers. These materials are required to exhibit oil resistance, tear resistance, weather resistance, chemical resistance, resistance to extreme temperatures, and exceptional flexibility. Currently, the most widely used elastomers include TPU, TPE, and PVC-based elastomers.
